Live your dreams.....today!

Baltimore Aquarium

What a way to end a staycation!  I have always wanted to go to an Aquarium.  Since I have never been to one before, it was hard to choose between the New Jersey Aquarium and the Baltimore Aquarium.  It was recommended that I go to the Baltimore Aquarium, which was a great idea because it was the 4th of July and I would get to see the fireworks on the Harbor.  There was so much to see and we took a lot of pictures.

One experience I had was being able to see a 4-D show where it seemed like I was a part of whatever was happening on the screen.  If fish splashed, I felt the water; if there were little animals crawling around on the floor, it felt like they were under my feet; when there were huge waves in the water, I moved with the wave.  The little children were scared and to be honest, I jumped a few times myself.  Visitors were not allowed to have cameras in this area of the Aquarium, but the experience will always be in my mind.  Why not experience it for yourself.  It is just a splash away!

The Baltimore Aquarium is located at 501 E. Pratt Street in Baltimore, Maryland.  It only took 1 hour and 49 minutes to get there.  This was a nice drive and the day was beautiful.  The Aquarium has a variety of animals and exhibits that will keep you and your family occupied for hours at a time.  The package we had was called the Total Experience and cost each of us $29.95.  This package included the Aquarium admission; the 4-D Immersion Theater; and the Dolphin show.  Children 3 years old to 11 years old pay only $19.95 each and seniors 60 years and up pay $28.95.

This was the best part of my staycation!!  I didn't have to go too far and didn't pay a lot of money to live the experiences I will always cherish.  We stayed for the fireworks, did a lot of walking around, and met some very nice people.
